Reasons for Research Websites
I have chosen various websites for my research and here is an explenation of why I chose each site:
http://earlybass.com/articles-bibliographies/history-of-the-double-bass/ http://www.soundjunction.org/thedoublebassahistory.aspa?NodeID=1
These two sites were chosen to give me information of how the double bass started. This was informative and I found it to be thorough with regards to the content I was after.
http://www.soundjunction.org/thedoublebasstuning.aspa?NodeID=0
I found this site to be informative and was something I noticed on searching "Double Bass HIstoy" into a search engine. It was something that caught my eye and not essentially what I would've thought of putting into my research task.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bass_guitar
This was my first call of research and a site that gav me my starting point in looking into the bass guitar as an instrument. It provided me with the general information regarding the electric bass and gave me points to look for and expand on further.
http://www.rickresource.com/rrp/axtbassarticle2.html
This was used to look into the Rickenbacker 4000 series and was something I have always been interested in. This site was the most factual based website I found for looking into this particular bass which helped me gather passive information that was unbiased.
http://www.musicradar.com/news/bass/the-history-of-the-electric-bass-part-4-how-many-strings-553839
This was the site that I looked at for the research into 5-6 string basses. It was very informative and simple in wording so I could understand it easier.
http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/gear/bass/bass.html http://web.archive.org/web/20060404220855/http://www.warwickbass.com/news/37.html http://www.buzzardbass.com/Prices/Prices.htm
These 3 sites were the ones I looked into for the research into John Entwistle's specialist bass guitar. I used a range of sites to gether as much information as possible and these 3 were the most concise sites to look into for the content that I needed.
http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/bb/bb2025x/?mode=model#tab=product_lineup&psort=latest&mode=paging http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/u_eb_page13.php?data_id=217&color=CL01&year=2013&cat_id=2&series_id=116
These two sites were what I looked at for the modern bass guitars. hese were the most factual that I looked at as they are all from the brands websites directly which leaves no room for opinion which was helpful for what I was looking for.
